Townhouse Makeover

Genesee, Co

This homeowner purchased a townhouse in Genesee and wanted to create a more open feel in the main living area and a state-of-the-art kitchen with all professional appliances.

To open the space, we removed a wall between the dining and kitchen areas, a coffered ceiling to create more height and removed a three-sided fireplace that separated the dining and living areas.

We created a functional and inviting living space with a new fireplace that allowed the area to remain open, added built-ins to the dining area, added a bar area with two built-in under-counter wine refrigerators and designed a custom-built trestle table with a stone top.

The homeowner wanted to completely redesign the guest bath. We removed a tub, added a steam shower, moved the toilet and enlarged the vanities. Her guests compare their stay to that of a 5-star hotel!

We also redesigned the master bath adding a free-standing tub, building a shower that requires no shower glass for low maintenance, painted the cabinets and added an under-counter refrigerator for convenience. Both bathrooms rock a retro feel with simple and beautiful black and white tile.

Removing the wood posts and balusters on the stairway and replacing them with a steel and cable rail system leads the way to a loft where we designed built-in bookcases to create a beautiful home library.

Lastly, a facelift to the master bedroom fireplace and lower level fireplace updated the look and feel of these spaces creating an entirely new home with the homeowner’s flair and style!
